Dr. Jonathan Koscso is an Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Surgeon at Kennedy-White Orthopaedic Center in Sarasota, FL and an Associate Team Physician for the Tampa Bay Rays.

Dr. Koscso has an established history of academic, athletic, and surgical excellence, graduating magna cum laude from the University of South Florida while serving as a 3-year captain of the USF Baseball Team. He then played professional baseball in the Tampa Bay Rays organization after being selected by his hometown team in the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft. Upon the end of his professional baseball career, Dr. Koscso went on to complete his medical training at the USF Morsani College of Medicine. He then completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Washington University in St. Louis/Barnes-Jewish Hospital, followed by a specialized Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, the #1 hospital for orthopedics as ranked by U.S. News & World Report.

Our practice is dedicated to the study and treatment of orthopaedic sports medicine conditions. Whether you are a high school football player, a weekend warrior, or a senior athlete with arthritis, our mission is to restore your joint function to allow you to perform the activities you love.

As a former professional baseball player, Dr. Koscso has a particular clinical interest in evaluating and treating overhead athletes with ailing shoulder and elbow conditions. Additionally, as an ongoing avid triathlete, he appreciates the positive health benefits that can come from being able to remain physically active throughout your years. Our goal is to keep our patients in the game through sophisticated nonoperative and operative interventions.
